Programs for Students, Scouts and Families
The Museum specializes in Standards of Learning-based programming.
These programs give students the tools to broaden their understanding of
their role in their communities and in history. In addition, the programs
provide maximum value to educators because they support the local
schools’ curriculum. The Museum offers educational programs for grades
pre-K through grade 4.  Programs are interdisciplinary and address
themes in science, social sciences, English, and math. Lessons are
interactive and include hands-on experiences.
The Museum also offers a variety of programs for scouts troops, mother’s
groups, and families.  We offer Mad Farmer’s Tea Parties for mother’s
groups, Birthday Party Packages, and scout programs from Brownie Try-
Its to Eagle Scout projects.
We demonstrate to students how the agricultural heritage of this county is
relevant to our everyday lives and how everyday choices create what we
know as history. Classes encourage students to examine their choices
and document their own history for future generations.
