Nov. 26, 2009 (Sterling, VA) – Are you are looking for new recipes or trying to find an old
favorite? Maybe you ran out of room and need to find a new home for a few old gems?
You’re in luck because on Saturday, December 5th the Heritage Farm Museum of
Loudoun County will host a Cook Book Swap, cook book signing and sale.
Your old books are new to someone else. During the swap you can exchange each book
you bring for a book from another guest. Only books on food, cooking, baking, grilling, and
entertaining are accepted for this swap. We welcome donations of used and new cook
books. Proceeds to benefit Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum, Inc.
While you are at the Museum, listen to students from Loudoun Valley High School read
from their Award-winning oral history book, “The Flaming Oven Mitt and Other Stories”
and purchase a copy of the Manassas Museum’s new heritage cook book.
The Cook Book Swap is being held as part of the Grand Opening for our new exhibit “In
the Kitchen: Family Life o the Farm”. For a schedule of events call (571) 258-3800 or visit
our website at www.heritagefarmmuseum.org.

admission. One free admission per family.
